How to Prepare Your Driveway for Dumpster Delivery
· 3 min read

A little preparation makes delivery quick and protects your property. Here's what to check before the truck arrives.
Pick a flat, firm spot
Driveways and other hard, level surfaces work best. Soft lawns, especially in spring, can rut under a loaded container.
Clear the path and overhead space
- Move vehicles, trailers, and toys out of the way
- Watch for low branches, wires, and gutters
- Leave room for the truck to back straight in
Protect your surface
Boards placed under the container's rails can help spread the weight on some surfaces. Let us know if your concrete or asphalt is new.
Check local rules
Containers on private property usually don't need a permit. If the dumpster must sit on a street, contact your city or village first. Homeowner associations may also have rules.
